The New Face of Photography
Wow!! This has been one exciting summer for me! In fact I have been so busy with projects I have forgotten to post on our blog for awhile!
I am excited to share these photos of Miss Jessica Williams that we have taken earlier this summer. Jessica is just one of these rare local talents that you just cannot see enough of their work. In fact this is the first time that I have ever posted another photographers work.
Jessica and I met last year at a fashion event which I thought she was one of the models but she was there to support one of her friends. Truth be told she can do both extremely well!

What does ‘portrait photography’ mean to you
Portraits photography is capturing beauty and emotions of a person or a group of people that can last a life- time. I really love shooting portraits the most because being it allows people to see the way I view them through the lens of a camera.
What first drew you to photography—and how did you discover it?
What first drew me to photography was a cousin of mine by the name of Alisa Walton, I was 11 years old at a family reunion and my cousin Alisa handed me her Nikon camera and told me to walk around and take pictures, I knew nothing about cameras. After I was finished taking the pictures I handed the camera back and she told me I was really good after that I was determined to have my own DSLR that being a Canon XTi .

Which photographers influenced you, and how did they influence your thinking, photographing, and career path?
I have a few photographers I can say I admire but the ones that actually took the time with me is the ones I can say influenced me the most . The first photographer that took me under there wing was Toni Estes with Toni Estes Photographs. One day she took me out on a shoot with her and showed me about lighting and different techniques. Another photographer by the name of Omar Ramos with Omar Ramos Photography saw light in me at a Workshop I attended a few years back, He allowed me to spend time in his studio and shadow him in a lot of his shoots. One thing I will never forget Omar telling me is that If you're doing photography for business it's not a passion, when you're doing it for the art that's what having a passion truly is. Two photographers by the name of Temi Coker & Desmun Dangerfield also influenced me when it comes to being creative with photography. They are a huge help when it comes to critiquing my work .
Exactly what it is you want to say with your photographs, and how do you actually get your photographs to do that?
What I want to say with my photographs is that there is inner happiness in everyone you just have to get it out of them and when I do a make sure I capture every second of it.
What motivates you to continue taking pictures?
People to be honest! Whenever I am feeling down or not in the mood photography is a therapy to me.
When taking pictures I feel like I am in another world, it's like a pain reliever. Another would be friends I try to surround myself with other artist to continuously keep me inspired and motivated.
